StandardAero celebrates second anniversary of selection by Daher as PT6A engine MRO services provider for TBM very fast turboprop aircraft family

StandardAero, the world's largest independent Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6A designated overhaul facility (DOF) with distribution rights, is this year celebrating the second anniversary of its selection by Daher as the PT6A engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider for TBM very fast turboprop aircraft based in Europe.

Following an extended selection process, StandardAero was awarded a three-year contract by Daher in 2016 for PT6A MRO coverage made available to all European TBM customers. The contract includes engine support for the fleet of TBM 700 aircraft operated by the French Ministry of Defence and managed by Daher under a full operational support agreement. The TBM family utilises the P&WC PT6A-64 (TBM 700) and PT6A-66D (TBM 850, 900, 910 and 930) engine models, with the 900th TBM aircraft shipped in July.

"We are honoured to have been entrusted by Daher as its PT6A engine MRO partner for TBM operators in Europe over the past two years,” said Peter Turner, president of StandardAero's airline and fleets business unit. "As an authorised distributor and designated overhaul facility, we are committed to raising the standard for PT6A engine customers worldwide, supporting operators of the fast-selling, fast-moving TBM turboprop with local support globally through our worldwide network of service locations."

StandardAero supports the global PT6A operator community from five designated overhaul facilities located in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, backed up by a global network of service centres and mobile repair technicians. With more than 25 years of reliable turboprop experience, StandardAero provides operators with a truly nose-to-tail suite of services, including repair schemes, re-engining STCs, engine exchanges, rentals and Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) analysis.
