Blackhawk Modifications, the worldwide leader in performance upgrades for the turboprop fleet, is expanding its ranks of distributors worldwide as demand for engine upgrades continues to swell.
The company most recently has completed distribution agreements both in the U.S. and in Europe and Australia, including Bromma Air Maintenance of Sweden; Scandinavian Air Technologies of Denmark; Cobham Aviation Service, UK; Approved Aircraft Maintenance, Australia; Hawker Pacific, Australia; and Lanmar Aviation, CT.
"The explosive growth of distributors worldwide is testament to Blackhawk's commitment to quality products and superior services," said Jim Allmon, president and CEO of Blackhawk Modifications. "We began this operation with just a couple of people, an idea and a lot of hard work. Pratt & Whitney recognized a new company that was ready to work harder than anyone else to sell the best turboprop engines in the world. That was over 10 years ago. It's gratifying to be recognized as the leader in value and performance but we're striving harder than ever to bring Blackhawk's products to the world market."
"It's more than gratifying to bring in new distributors to the Blackhawk family," added Bobby Patton, Blackhawk Director of Dealer Development. "Seeing the enthusiasm of these companies, both large and small, makes me proud to represent the leader in engine upgrades. The depth of knowledge these distributors bring to the table is astounding. You can go almost anywhere in the world and find an installer with the greatest degree of experience with Blackhawk engines."
Bromma Maintenance provides base and line maintenance, repair and overhaul services in their four hangars in Sweden; at their Bromma City Airport headquarters as well as their facilities in Norrköping, Linköping and Sveg. Beside the regular overhaul of airframes and engines, they also offer in-house part and avionic shops, sheet metal work, license welding, paint shop and NDT. BAM is a Beechcraft Platinum Service Center Rated Facility and a Pratt & Whitney recognized Maintenance Facility.
Marcus Lönn, Director Marketing & Sales Parts at Bromma, expressed deep satisfaction with their new partnership with the U.S. performance company. "We are extremely happy to work with Blackhawk, and we look forward to serving Blackhawk clients in Sweden."
Scandinavian Aircraft Technologies A/S (ScanTech) is an EASA-approved aircraft maintenance facility which has specialized in Beechcraft piston and turbine powered aircraft for more than 30 years to become one of Europe's premier aviation facilities. They are both Pratt & Whitney Recognized Maintenance Facility and Engine Service Center with capabilities covering component overhaul, avionics and Continued Airworthiness Management (CAMO).
Sales Manager Mads Jensen said, "We are excited about becoming a Blackhawk distributor. The Blackhawk engine upgrade program fits nicely on the palette of options and services we offer our King Air customers. We have been servicing King Airs for 30 years and with the Blackhawk upgrades giving new life to old King Airs we are looking forward to the next 30 years."
