GE Aviation and Emirates have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will enhance Emirates' repair and testing capabilities on GE90 engines.

Emirates agrees to perform engine module and piece-part breakdown on GE90-115B engines in the region along with GE90-115B engine testing at its Engine Test Facility, located on Academic City Road in the Lehbab Area, about 30 km from Dubai International Airport. GE Aviation will work with Emirates to ensure it has the necessary material and manpower support to meet the region's growing demand.

"GE and Emirates developed a strong relationship as we worked together on the design and construction of the outstanding state-of-the-art Emirates Engine Test facility that opened in 2007," said Muhammad Al-Lamadani, Senior Executive Sales for GE Aviation for Middle East, Eastern Europe, and CIS. "This MOU further demonstrates our continuing commitment to Emirates and the Middle East region."
