Press Release
Issued by ARGUS International.
June 15, 2009
After a successful debut at last month's EBACE Convention, ARG/US continues to sign on new customers to its CHEQPoint International subscription program. The latest high profile industry leader to endorse the CHEQ system is U.K.-based Hunt & Palmer, Plc. Charter operators subscribing to CHEQPoint have the ability for charter buyers, like Hunt & Palmer, to run a TripCHEQ Report on them, which instantaneously allows the customer to compare their operating safety history, aircraft, and flight crew against an industry defined, or custom standard.
CHEQPoint International is a product within the ARG/US CHEQ (Charter Evaluation and Qualification) system, which is widely recognized as the most visible and sought after third party due diligence on business aircraft charter operators. CHEQ provides charter customers with fully-vetted information on their charter operators' safety history, flight crew and aircraft. The program is based upon a database referred to as the Operator Data Maintenance Program (ODMP), which allows ARG/US to capture historical safety information, current aircraft and pilot qualification information, and on-site safety audits. The information is collectively analyzed and scored, potentially resulting in a coveted ARG/US rating, such as Gold, Gold Plus or Platinum. To get this information into the hands of buyers and sellers of charter on a real-time basis, ARG/US maintains an exclusive global relationship with Avinode, the world's largest on-line marketplace for charter services on business aircraft.
"We are very pleased with the acceptance we have seen from the international community," commented Joe Moeggenberg, President and CEO of ARG/US. "CHEQ has been utilized by many companies when chartering aircraft in the U.S. and now they have the same opportunity when chartering in Europe.
"I am particularly pleased that Hunt & Palmer has endorsed the CHEQ system and is using it as a key component of their stringent charter vendor program," added Moeggenberg.
"As one of Europe's leading charter brokers, it is imperative we maintain current and accurate information on the charter operators selected to uphold the reputation we have with our clients," stated Neil Harvey, Executive Aviation Manager, Hunt & Palmer. Harvey added, "The ARG/US CHEQ system has the potential to provide us with the information we need. We are pleased to participate in the introduction of this system into Europe, and believe it will provide an independent and accurate way to offer our clients a more comprehensive service."
