Seven-Time PGA Event Champion Sergio Garcia to take ceremonial delivery of first-in-class Hawker 4000 today at EBACE

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) announced that seven-time PGA Event Champion Sergio Garcia will be taking ceremonial delivery of the revolutionary Hawker 4000 super-midsized business jet today at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. The Hawker 4000 is first in its class, first in the world and the most advanced business jet in the world based on its innovative composite construction. The ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. local time at the Hawker Beechcraft Display, Geneva PALEXPO #7061.

"The outstanding performance of the Hawker 4000 is a perfect match for the outstanding performance of professional golfer and Hawker owner Sergio Garcia," said Brad Hatt, president, HBC Commercial Aircraft. "The segment-leading performance of the Hawker 4000 will deliver excellence for all of Sergio's global travel needs."

Garcia, originally from Spain, is a dedicated customer, currently owning a Hawker 850XP. Garcia turned professional in 1999 and plays on the U.S. PGA Tour and European tour. After the ceremony, Garcia will sign autographs.

"My schedule takes me to four continents and routinely back and forth from Europe to the United States," Garcia said. "Since purchasing my Hawker 850XP three years ago, I have not missed one of my tournaments or mission requirements. The relationship I have with HBC is second to none and I look forward to receiving my Hawker 4000."

The Hawker 4000 is faster and delivers superior cruise and range performance than competitors like the Bombardier Challenger 300. With best-in-class field performance in the super-midsize category, take-off field length (ISA, SL, MGTOW) is just 5,169 feet (1,576 m). Climb rate is exhilarating, going from sea level to 37,000 feet in just over 14 minutes. Once at altitude, the Hawker 4000 accelerates very quickly to its maximum cruise speed of Mach .84 (896 km/hr), maximizing productivity of customers by getting them quickly to their destination. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308A engines deliver 6,900 pounds of thrust each flat rated at ISA +22o Celsius and, combined with the Hawker 4000's advanced wing design, provide stunning high altitude/hot temperature and short field performance.
