Nomad Aviation will open a maintenance facility at the Euro Airport in Basel, Switzerland in August 2018. The company, branded as Nomad Technics AG, will initially offer maintenance up to medium inspection level and hangarage services. Nomad Technics will occupy a 7,400 sqm hangar which can accommodate aircraft up to the size of Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 series.

The EASA Part-145 approved maintenance organization will initially provide maintenance inspections and non-routine repair work on Bombardier Challenger and Global series, Embraer Legacy series aircraft as well as on Cessna Citation 525 series business jets. As of 2019 the capability will be extended to the A320 family and Boeing 737 series. In addition Nomad Technics will offer dedicated hangarage space for just overnight parking or on a long term contract basis as from August 2018 onwards

By expanding our activities into a maintenance and hangarage operation we can offer our customers a one-stop- solution,” says Heinz Koehli, executive chairman of Nomad Aviation. ”Our customers can use one of our charter aircraft while their business jet undergoes maintenance. This ensures a seamless operation,” adds Thomas Koehli, Nomad Aviation’s CEO.
