Aero-Dienst celebrates opening of new line station at Klagenfurt Airport, Austria

Aero-Dienst has something to celebrate: In November, the full-service provider for business aviation from Nuremberg received final approval for its maintenance line station at Kärnten Airport in Klagenfurt.

This is a new step for Aero-Dienst towards extending its service network for various aircraft models manufactured by Challenger, Falcon, Global and Hawker, following on from the opening of its Vienna line station in 2006. In Klagenfurt, Aero-Dienst's experienced team of technicians carries out scheduled maintenance, warranty repairs as well as unscheduled maintenance work. The scope of performance is rounded off by its 24/7 AOG service.

Following receipt of official approval by the German CAA, Luftfahrt-Bundesamt in November, the maintenance line station was ceremonially opened on 29th January. Aero-Dienst invited the managing director of Kärnten Airport and a number of local customers to the official opening.

In the business aviation sector, regional airports are important for the mobility and flexibility of internationally active companies. Therefore Aero-Dienst with its international licenses is a reliable local partner for a wide range of business jet models. Approval from many national and international aviation authorities such as EASA Part 145, FAA Part 145, Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands, Nigeria, Russia/CIS, Turkey and Ukraine plays an important role here as well.

“When a maintenance operation at Kärnten Airport closed down, that gave us the opportunity to take over the facilities including hangar space. This has the advantage that we are now in a position to provide a significantly more flexible and fast service to our long-term customers at this location,” says Christian Weigl, manager of the Vienna and Klagenfurt maintenance line stations.

André Ebach, head of maintenance at Aero-Dienst, Nuremberg, adds: “Opening a new line station underlines the importance of the Austrian market, centrally located as it is for our service network.”
