Blackhawk gains EASA Approval of the PT6A-135A Conquest I Engine upgrade

Blackhawk Modifications, the leading provider of engine upgrades for turbine powered aircraft, announced the continued growth of their portfolio of worldwide certified engine upgrades with European (EASA) approval of the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-135A engines for the Conquest I. The added performance and value associated with the Blackhawk XP135A Conquest I engines continues to attract Conquest I operators wisely investing in their plane's safety and long-term value.

Having upgraded 16 percent of the Conquest I fleet, popular demand for the factory new PT6A-135A engines led Blackhawk to pursue worldwide certification. Jim Allmon, Blackhawk CEO and President, hails this latest approval as another example of a long-standing tradition of customer support. "The Conquest I is what introduced Blackhawk into the engine upgrade market and has been the springboard for all of our other re-engine programs. Now more than ever, the turboprop community is demanding the value and performance Blackhawk brings, and we are pleased to continue expanding our global reach with EASA approval for the Conquest I," said Allmon. "Blackhawk's engine upgrades have ushered in a paradigm shift in many operators towards performance and value as opposed to standard engine overhauls.

"Blackhawk is proud to offer new engines as a performance and value based solution for Conquest I operators anywhere in the world, and now welcomes our European Conquest operators to experience our superior quality and customer service," concluded Allmon. Blackhawk has the largest non OEM engine contract in force with Pratt & Whitney. The engines are priced based on the Pratt exchange program and generous credit is issued for time remaining to overhaul on core PT6A-112 engines.

The XP135A package can be installed by Blackhawk's global network of 35 distributors which includes the most prominent facilities in Europe. Contact MCA Aviation in the United Kingdom, Beechcraft Vertrieb Und Service in Germany and Ruag Aerospace in Switzerland to reserve a Blackhawk delivery position or to schedule regular aircraft maintenance and support.
