Wyvern launches “Wyvern Aviation Training” to answer global demand for professional aviation training

Wyvern has launched “Wyvern Aviation Training”, a new entity created to deliver professional aviation training in emerging economies throughout the world. Wyvern will supply expertise, qualified instructors, curricula and management to Nexus Aviation Academy, an enterprise recently launched by Wyvern's parent company, Nexus.

“We are seeing unprecedented levels of demand for professional aviation training in several of the world's largest and fastest growing economies,” said Art Dawley, CEO of Wyvern, “and through our partnership with Nexus Aviation Academy, we have been able to enter this market quickly, leveraging our growing network of world class instructors and aviation experts.”

Wyvern develops individual training courses based on ICAO-recognized criteria and then seeks local approval from the civil aviation authorities in the countries where the courses are taught. “Courses developed in the United States in accordance with ICAO-recognized criteria have broad-based appeal due to the longstanding history of aviation leadership in this country,” said Albert Pod, vice president of operations at Wyvern, “and we are able to field instructors with extensive experience and very high success rates with students.”

“We have started with dispatch and ground handling services for aviation in the Middle East and Africa, and are making arrangements to offer additional courses across the Middle East, India, Africa and China,” said Art Dawley, CEO of Wyvern. “As aviation expands in these fast-growing economies, there is an opportunity to help young professionals get the training they need to advance their careers, and help the countries enhance their local knowledge base.”

Drone operations and private and commercial pilot training are among the courses to be added next to the growing list of professional aviation training to be taught by Wyvern through the Nexus Aviation Academy.
