Jet Aviation gains ACJ authorised service centre status for Basel MRO facility

Jet Aviation is pleased to announce that Airbus has appointed its maintenance, refurbishment and overhaul (MRO) facility in Basel an authorised service centre (ASC) for Airbus Corporate Jets. The agreement was signed at the 2016 EBACE Convention in Geneva.

To enhance the choice and geographical reach of support services for ACJ customers and operators in Europe, Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) signed a service contract with Jet Aviation Management to add Jet Aviation's maintenance facility in Basel to ACJ's authorised service centre network. The authorization includes line and heavy maintenance, cabin-refurbishing, and cabin and system upgrades.

"As an ACJ-appointed service centre, we are pleased to offer our customers comfort and peace of mind, knowing that we are cooperating closely with the original manufacturer,” says Estelle Thorin, director of the large aircraft maintenance operation at the Jet Aviation maintenance centre in Basel. “ACJ appointed the Basel maintenance centre in recognition of our significant expertise, quality workmanship and professionalism, and I am very proud of my team. Without their dedication, this appointment would not be possible.”

Senior vice president and general manager of the Basel maintenance centre Johannes Turzer adds, “We have a long-standing working relationship with Airbus and are honored by their decision to add us to their authorised service centre network. This service agreement represents an implicit commendation from Airbus regarding our commitment to the highest aviation standards, which is how we strive to earn the continued trust of all of our customers and partners.”

Managing director of Airbus Corporate Jets Benoit Defforge says, “ACJ customers and operators already benefit from a worldwide support network sized for more than 500 customers and operators around the world. The ACJ service centre network complements this by adding services tailored to corporate-jet operator needs.”
