The team at PrivateFly is celebrating the start of 2016 in a new office. The move follows the online booking platform's rapid expansion over the past few years. The company is continuing to base itself just north of London in St Albans, 12 miles from London Luton Airport.
PrivateFly employs a team of 23 from the new office, and is currently recruiting for a number of new roles in its flight team, tech team and finance department. The company is also in the process of setting up a base in Miami, with US flights now over 25% of its sales.
The 4,000 sq ft space has been fitted out with a number of pieces of bespoke furniture and art, made from vintage aviation parts. The pieces are made by Intrepid Design, and include a coffee table made from a highly polished Rolls Royce Spey 250 gas turbine jet engine and a Martin Baker Phantom F4 ejector seat, taken from a Phantom fighter jet.
Ceo Adam Twidell comments: “We have access to a great pool of business and aviation talent here, just 20 minutes by train from central London and close to Luton Airport. This has helped us to form our fantastic team of aviation, marketing, IT and finance professionals.
“2016 is going to be an exciting year for PrivateFly, with further growth planned in Europe and a new base in the USA. The new UK office and stunning furniture from Intrepid Design is certainly helping the whole team to feel inspired and energised for the year ahead!”
