London City Airport (LCY) has been awarded the contract to provide RAF Northolt's Premier Passenger Service for the next five years, commencing January 1st 2016.

The West London airfield, which LCY has used as a route to the heart of London for business aviation customers over the past eight years, will offer a Premier Passenger Experience including catering and limousine travel, plus full services for aircraft support.

Based in the London Borough of Hillingdon, Northolt Aerodrome is the closest airfield to London's West End and only ten miles to Kensington with access to Knightsbridge, Mayfair, and Piccadilly just 30 minutes away by road.

Over in East London LCY provides access for business aviation just four miles from Canary Wharf, seven miles from The City, and nine miles from Mayfair. LCY has approval for most major manufacturers' business aircraft, with the Global 6000, Falcon 7X and Phenom 300 aircraft all being regular visitors.

LCY's director of business aviation Nick Rose welcomed the news saying: “I am delighted to announce that we have secured the contract to provide business aviation services at RAF Northolt for the next five years.

“We already offer a fantastic service at our Private Jet Centre in East London, where our passengers can transfer from car to plane in as little as 90 seconds and again full services for passengers and aircraft are available, so this is an excellent addition.

“We look forward to welcoming customers from January 1st.”
