Acropolis Aviation, the UK's vvip charter operator, was celebrating the renewal of its Wyvern Wingman status at NBAA yesterday. Globally recognized, the Wyvern Wingman certification is the industry's benchmark for aviation safety, reflecting a commitment to best practice and the highest level of safety and protocol. Acropolis Aviation has held Wingman status since 2011. This latest renewal represents its third successful audit.
Paul Travis, ground operations manager for Acropolis Aviation said: “We are very pleased to have our prestigious Wyvern Wingman status renewed. It is a hugely important endorsement in the industry, especially in the Americas. Charter brokers do ask us regularly if we hold such status and we are proud to have been Wyvern-accredited since 2011.”
Art Dawley, ceo of Wyvern Consulting added: “The ability to continually meet the Wyvern benchmark is a testament to an organization's commitment to safety. We are proud that Acropolis Aviation has passed their third Wingman audit. Their continued commitment to safety has made them an industry leader in safety culture.”
In order to successfully achieve Wingman status, operators must have an immaculate record for a minimum of five years with the appropriate aviation authorities, actively show commitment to leading safety practices and maintain a strong safety culture. Operators must also provide consistently up-to-date, accurate safety data in the Wyvern online database and successfully pass an onsite audit every two years where flight, maintenance, and company business practices are evaluated against “The Wingman Standard."
Acropolis Aviation's Paul Travis, Andy West, charter sales executive and newly appointed vice president for US and Latin America Kuky Salazar are at NBAA this week (17th to 19th November) to promote their flagship Airbus ACJ319 G-NOAH from Avinode booth No N5222.
