Acropolis Aviation Limited has successfully renewed its Wingman certification by Wyvern, one of the most demanding air carrier safety achievements in the industry.
To be considered as a Wingman, operators must have an immaculate record for a minimum of five years with the appropriate aviation authorities, actively show their commitment to leading safety practices, and have a strong safety culture. Operators must also provide consistently up-to-date, accurate safety data in the Wyvern online database and successfully pass an onsite audit every two years where flight, maintenance, and company business practices are evaluated against The Wingman Standard.
Acropolis Aviation has been a Wingman since 2011, and this is the organization's third successful audit by Wyvern.
Acropolis Aviation is a leading provider of luxury charter aviation and turnkey aircraft management services. Acropolis is based at TAG Farnborough Airport, the UK's premier business aviation airport, with a complementary sales office in Fort Lauderdale, USA. Headed by ceo Jonathan Bousfield, the company employs 28 personnel.
“We are very pleased to have our prestigious Wyvern Wingman status renewed. It is a hugely important endorsement in the industry, especially in the Americas. Charter brokers do ask us regularly if we hold such status and we are proud to have been Wyvern-accredited since 2011,” said Andy West, charter sales executive for Acropolis Aviation.
With their Wingman certification, Acropolis Aviation is a participant in Wyvern's Pilot & Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) program. Operators enrolled in the program submit their data for transparent risk assessments which may be accessed by Wyvern customers for each flight. PASS Reports measure over 100 data points concerning the aircraft, crew qualifications, crew currency, and insurance.
“The ability to continually meet the Wyvern benchmark is a testament to an organization's commitment to safety. We are proud to announce that Acropolis Aviation has passed their third Wingman audit. Their continued commitment to safety has made them an industry leader in safety culture.” says Art Dawley, Wyvern ceo.
