FlightSafety has announced it will offer a new International Procedures Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) course starting in December 2015.
“FlightSafety's extensive and growing series of specialty and enrichment courses are designed to address the specific operational needs of our customers,” said Daniel MacLellan, vice president, operations.
The International Procedures Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) course consists of eight hours of ground school and three hours of simulator training. The simulator portion includes pre and post session briefings. The ground school can be completed at a Learning Center or online through FlightSafety's eLearning system.
It is designed to meet the specific needs of FlightSafety's customers. They can choose from one of four areas on which to focus their training. They include the Atlantic, Pacific, Europe, or Latin America region.
The course will help to enable pilots to respond correctly to in-flight contingencies in international airspace, including ICAO Doc 4444. Those who fly aircraft that require one or more stops will also benefit from this course as it is adaptable to their specific mission.
It will be available initially at FlightSafety's Learning Centers in Dallas, Texas; Long Beach, California; Orlando, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; St. Louis, Missouri; Teterboro, New Jersey; Tucson, Arizona; Wichita, Kansas; and Wilmington, Delaware.
FlightSafety also offers other International Procedures courses at its Learning Centers and online through its instructor led LiveLearning system. They include the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and South America.
