GlobeAir 'air race' marketing campaign creates strong sales boost

GlobeAir has revolutionized the way private aviation companies communicate within the industry with an 'industry first' B2B marketing campaign that significantly boosted its sales during the summer. 

GlobeAir is the European pioneer in the air taxi sector with the world´s largest fleet of jets Citation Mustang. Starting on June 1st, the B2B reward program ran until September, sharing booking numbers on the Mustang aircraft, made by GlobeAir's most loyal broker partners. By displaying the latest rankings as staging posts twice per month, this created a very competitive 'air race environment' for brokers in the industry, during its seasonal summer peak.

In the business jet sector this was the first time that a charter operator decided to disclose its booking performances and sales volume, providing its broker customers with meaningful benchmarking information. This marketing campaign gave brokers more transparency than has ever been done before in the sector.

With this initiative, GlobeAir has breathed new energy into B2B aviation marketing, while becoming a top-of-mind brand within its peer group and strengthening its relationships with its customers. Through the summer GlobeAir has gained 23% flight increase compared to 2014. 

Bernhard Fragner, ceo of GlobeAir explained “The very light jet sector is quite fragmented, and when it comes to booking, price still plays an important role in the decision making process. We want our clients to choose us because we are worthy, not because we compete on price. Our strategy is to have a sustainable growth without jeopardizing our reputation. Since its launch, GlobeAir has been investing in added value relationships with its customers, backed by its committment to deliver the highest quality service at every stage of the flight.

Mr. Fragner, added “We are witnessing an important evolution in the way the modern travellers interact with private aviation. They expect to be able to book online, especially up to the mid size jets sector. An important indicator about how the industry is evolving is that that our biggest revenue channel is generated by online platforms, as the top three winners of our reward program proves.” 

PrivateFly and Victor, that ranked in the first and second positions, have been awarded with a brand new FIAT 500 for their outstanding results.
