Blackhawk top seller of Pratt & Whitney engines in 2008 – announces 200th customer

Blackhawk Modifications announced  another significant milestone at NBAA by welcoming their 200th customer to the growing family of Pratt & Whitney PT6A XP powered aircraft.  Bill Woods, President of Oregon based Western Wings filled the 200th engine upgrade position since the company introduced its popular XP portfolio of engine upgrades.  Mr. Woods' King Air C90B had the high powered PT6A-135A engines installed in place of the factory original engines by one of Blackhawk's valued distributors, Superior Aircraft Maintenance in Medford, Oregon.

An avid flyer since 1969, Mr. Woods has amassed over 18,000 hours.  His experience as a pilot has helped him deliver the quality, value and performance other pilots and operators are craving for in an airplane.  As owner of Western Wings, Woods is 'committed to build the best aircraft money can buy.' Mr. Woods' dedication to offer his customers an aircraft with 'real after-market value' led him to invest in Blackhawk's engine upgrade.

"As we all know, many aircraft are delivered from the manufacture with marginal performance standards," said Woods.  "The King Air fleet has been desperate for better power plants and Blackhawk engines deliver a much safer and stronger performing aircraft."  Blackhawk offers a refreshing engine solution that is consistent with our goal of providing the best from the start."

Blackhawk ranks as the top seller of Pratt & Whitney non-OEM engines for 2008. Eva Azoulay, Director-Commercial Service Centre Network, Pratt & Whitney Canada commented on Blackhawk's success. "P&WC is proud to count Blackhawk as one of its esteemed PT6 customers.  We congratulate the Blackhawk team on their market leadership and the recent milestone achievement of assisting their 200th turboprop customer with their engine upgrade."

As the leading turboprop aircraft engine company in the world, Blackhawk boasts many elements to their success.  "We consider Blackhawk owners family.  We focus as much attention on existing customers as we do on potential customers which has been critical in our success and rare in this industry, "said Jim Allmon.  "In addition to the heightened performance Blackhawk owners enjoy, our support staff works seamlessly together with our dealer network to ensure our customers' needs are met on every level," continued Allmon.
