June 17, 2015
Zenith Aviation, Britain's leading bespoke charter service provider announced today the purchase of its first Piaggio Avanti EVO aircraft. Due for delivery this October, Zenith is the first UK based operator to order the Avanti EVO, which will be the catalyst for a significant upgrade in Zenith Aviation's aircraft charter offering.
The EVO will offer a step-change in short-haul charter operations. It is the fastest next-generation twin turboprop in production. Cruising at 460 mph and with a range of 1,980 miles, the EVO can seat up to nine passengers in the most comfortable and roomiest of in-flight cabins (five feet nine inches high and six feet wide).
The design innovations are focused on ensuring that passengers have the smoothest, quietest and most relaxing of flights e.g., the EVO will retain a sea level cabin altitude to 24,000ft, rising to only 6,600ft cabin altitude at the aircraft's 41,000ft ceiling. This lower cabin altitude ensures Avanti EVO passengers disembark feeling fresher and more revitalised.
This next generation Avanti is not only significantly quieter in the cabin but also has a lower noise footprint than comparable size turboprops, making it very much a 'good neighbour' too.
Stuart Mulholland, md of Zenith Aviation Ltd said “We are delighted to be able to be the first UK based charter operator to offer the aircraft broker community access to the significant benefits the Avanti EVO affords them and their clients. With its remarkably lower cost of operation in particular, the EVO will enable brokers to effectively promote how productive and cost effective it is to make business and private aviation a key part of their client's business growth and development strategy."
In addition to the arrival of the Piaggio, md Stuart Mulholland also added that Zenith is in the process of purchasing a Citation XLS to add to its UK charter capability and hopes to announce further fleet expansion over the coming months. Zenith also offers EASA Part 145 approved maintenance from its Biggin Hill facility.
