Safe Flight Instrument Corporation of White Plains, New York and Nextant Aerospace of Cleveland, Ohio are pleased to announce that Safe Flight's AutoPower Automatic Throttle System (ATS), is in the final phase of certification with production deliveries scheduled to begin this quarter.

Nextant is reporting a strong order book for the AutoPower system for the remanufactured Nextant 400XTi. The system can also be retrofit on the fielded 400XT aircraft already in service. PlaneSense, the launch customer for the AutoPower equipped Nextant 400XTi, has executed two firm orders with options for three additional deliveries. Nextant has also confirmed additional sales to undisclosed customers for two AutoPower installations later this year.

The Nextant 400XTi AutoPower system provides increased safety by decreasing pilot workload allowing greater situational awareness. The AutoPower solution with a stabilized speed target allows more consistent approaches. Studies have shown that AutoPower increases range. The Nextant ATS solution builds on Safe Flights' 57 years of experience designing and manufacturing nearly 10,000 AutoPower systems to date.
