For the first time in France, the DA62 Twin Diamond Aircraft will be presented at France Air Expo, from June 4th to 6th at Lyon-Bron Airport. Visitors will discover the latest of the Austrian manufacturer at the booth of ATA by Pelletier.

Diamond Aircraft formalized the launch of the new five to seven seater DA62 on the 16th of April 2015 at AERO 2015 in Germany by receiving EASA type certificate of the aircraft.

Once again the Austrian company headed by Christian Dries, a test pilot who has more than 7,000 flying hours in a variety of aircraft, developed, certified and built in record time (three years) a product that similar to that of the DA40 and DA42, is bound to make its mark within the general aviation industry.

The DA62 is a low-wing, twin-engine, carbon structure, with diesel cycle engines run by the FADEC. The payload offered by the device configuration called "standard" (EASA IFR radar and defrosting with MTO) is in the order of 680 kg. Thus, the plane flew with a payload of 400 kg within a seven hour battery lifespan, plus IFR reserves at an average speed of about 175 kts. It consumes only 46 liters of JET A1 per hour.

The cabin is by far the most spacious offered in its segment, seating up to seven passengers in comfort worthy of a German luxury sedan. The Garmin G1000 avionics suite is a standard feature with all the options offered by Garmin, including MTO GWX 70 color radar or data link weather GRS 56.

TKS deicing system (certified in icing conditions) and air conditioning are also among the DA62's equipment.

In less than a month Diamond Aircraft registered the firm order of fifteen aircraft with customers tests being made possible by the beginning of May.

The France Air Expo – Lyon, the only general aviation exhibition in France, will be an opportunity to discover the DA62. The new DA62 will be exhibited at the stand by ATA Pelletier where the whole team will welcome visitors, from June 4th to 6th 2015.

ATA by Pelletier provides distribution and technical support in France for all Diamond Aircraft products: to date almost 250 in-service aircraft, counting all the different models.
