Mike Venable appointed director of safety for Starbase Jet

Starbase Jet is proud to announce and welcome veteran aviation executive, Mike Venable, as its new director of safety.

Based in our Houston, TX office, Venable is responsible for instilling a safety culture in the company's day to day operations which will allow it to continue to grow and operate safely and efficiently.

Venable's impressive background includes parts 91, 121 and 135 flight time in both airplanes and helicopters. He has flown domestically and internationally as a 135 charter pilot, 91 corporate pilot, and part 121 in both scheduled and non-scheduled service. He holds CFI/II (airplane and helicopter) certificates, a CFI MEL endorsement, an ATP certificate with five jet type ratings and a commercial/instrument helicopter rating with two type ratings.

Venable said, “In the safety arena of flight operations we, as professional aviators, should set the highest standard of excellence and accept nothing less in our day to day flight operations. It is my job to give the employees of Starbase Jet the tools and awareness to be successful in this challenge.”
