Daher-Socata releases new and updated iPad applications for TBM very fast turboprop aircraft

Daher-Socata today announced the release of a new application for customization of the TBM 900's cabin interior, as well as the updated versions of its three primary apps – all available at no cost for the Apple iPad.

Its new app, called the “TBM 900 Interior” is a virtual configurator that allows the user to visualize various configurations for a TBM 900 cabin interior by selecting a combination of eight standard leather shades and additional 36 optional shades for wood, carbon fiber fittings, carpets and optional storage cabinets.

“This new application highlights the TBM 900's cabin features, where top grain leather is used on all seated surfaces, offering generously-sized, sculpted deep cushions with padded leather armrests,” said Nicolas Chabbert, senior vice president of Daher-Socata's airplane business unit. “The new app provides a 'window' into the elegant and luxurious environment that customers expect from the best in European design and craftsmanship.”

Daher-Socata's updated “My TBM docs” application is the 1.4 version, now featuring documentation relevant to the new TBM 900. This application continues to offer free access for registered operators and owners to full, constantly-updated technical documentation for all TBM very fast turboprop aircraft models – including the Internal Parts Catalog, Maintenance Manual and Pilot Information Manual. The available documents represent more than 40,000 pages of information in PDF format, and are fully searchable, easing the use of documentation and providing more information to aircraft operators.

The “My TBM docs” app's library also features a video section for educational subjects. A “briefcase” section enables the user to tag preferred documents for on-ground preparation of flight operations. “My TBM docs” was created internally by Daher-Socata's documentation team, with the assistance of Daher Information Services at its parent company.

A virtual tour of Daher-Socata's Tarbes, France factory – where TBM very fast turboprop aircraft are made is the subject of the “Manufacturing the TBM” app; while the “TBM 850 by Daher-Socata” application is focused on the TBM 900's predecessor, which is the most successful type in the TBM very fast turboprop family.
