TAG Aviation's maintenance centre in Geneva is set to complete its 30th Dassault EASy II avionics upgrade on a Falcon 900DX aircraft.
As a Dassault Authorised Service Centre (ASC), TAG Aviation has installed EASy II flight decks on Falcon 900 series as well as Falcon 7X and Falcon 2000 series aircraft since its market introduction in 2011 and 2012 respectively, and has 20 installations on order.
“EASy II provides improved functionality which further enhances operational safety and performance, ensuring compliance with future regulatory requirements,” said Philippe Rabier, TAG Aviation's maintenance sales director. “Customers can also take advantage of other maintenance services such as interior refurbishment and modifications during the EASy II implementation in order to optimise aircraft operation.”
EASy II flight deck is a simplified inflight management system, which improves crew coordination and situational awareness. EASy II introduces enhancements that further improve safety and navigation while reducing pilot workload. This includes synthetic vision, a feature that synthesises key information throughout the flight deck and overlays a graphical representation of terrain, runways and obstacles onto the primary flight display, vastly improving situation awareness and confidence in low-visibility conditions. It also includes Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) such as FANS 1A and ATNB, which ensures compliance with new mandates.
TAG Aviation's heavy maintenance centres in Geneva (Switzerland) and Farnborough (United Kingdom) have been Dassault ASCs since 1988 and 2006 respectively. Both centres offer four core services: airframes, avionics, troubleshooting and ramp services. In addition to providing base- and line-maintenance for Dassault aircraft, TAG Aviation has certification to work on over sixty type of aircraft. Its maintenance centre network includes ten specialist workshops, offering services such as paint shop, interior refurbishment and logistics.
