May 19, 2014
Nextant Aerospace, maker of the Nextant 400XTi, the world's only remanufactured business jet and the forthcoming G90XT turboprop, today announced an expansion of its European sales network. Interest in the revolutionary remanufactured products has been particularly strong in Europe where owners appreciate the aircraft's strong value proposition, green credentials and high levels of comfort.
Once dubbed 'The Credit Crunch Jet' by Bloomberg, the 400XTi fleet is now over 40 strong with 25,000 flight hours. By the end of the summer, seven aircraft will have been delivered to five different European countries making the region the strongest international market.
“The 400XTi is clearly the right aircraft for the region and we are proud to bring our new sales partners on board in Europe,” said Jay Heublein, Nextant executive vice president of sales and marketing. “As European economies are showing signs of sustained growth, aircraft buyers are keen to leverage the value of business aviation at the lowest cost. However, customers are still demanding market-leading range and speed with a spacious and quiet cabin. The 400XTi delivers on all of those criteria and we have no doubt the G90XT will garner a similar reception.
At EBACE, Nextant will sign three new sales representation agreements. FortAero will expand its territory from Russia/CIS – where it has already taken delivery of two 400XTi light jets – to include Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland. In these new territories, it will partner with Swiss luxury watchmaker De Bethune who have strong established relationships with corporates and HNWIs in the region.
“Coming from the Swiss watchmaking industry, we understand that the importance of brand perception cannot be understated in Europe,” said FortAero European managing director Pierre Jacques. “We chose to partner with Nextant because they have proven their brand delivers on its promises – value, performance, comfort and reliability – every single day. Our first two aircraft are flying upwards of 90 hours per month with superior dispatch reliability – from the cold Siberian tundra to the hot Arabian deserts and all across Europe.”
SaxonAir will be appointed as the sales representative for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Ireland and the UK. This summer SaxonAir will add the UK's first 400XTi to its AOC. Remanufacturing is a hot topic in the UK following last month's release of an all-party Parliamentary report on the significant potential economic and environmental advantages of remanufacturing practices.
“As the UK emerges from its austerity programs, there is a strong focus on value for money,” said Chris Mace, SaxonAir managing director. “The great thing about the 400XTi is that there is no trade-off between price and performance. The aircraft is a proven money-maker for companies and as a charter aircraft.”
Nextant Poland will take the lead for sales and marketing activities in Poland. Nextant Poland is owned by Power Boats Poland with showrooms in Warsaw, Katowice and the Gdynia marina by the Baltic Sea. The company has strong relationships with the HNWI community in Poland, leads the market in annual units sold and currently manages over 200 boats.
“We see great potential for both the 400XTi and the G90XT in the Polish market,” said Nextant Poland General Manager Maja Darowska. “Our customers have come to depend on us to advise them on the right equipment and to support their valuable assets throughout their lifecycle. The 400XTi has earned its reputation as the low-cost, high-performance, trouble-free solution for Europe. The King Airs have traditionally been among the most popular aircraft in Europe and with value proposition of the G90XT, we foresee similar success.”
Nextant products in Europe are supported by a world-class network of owned and authorized service centers, anchored by Jet Aviation in Geneva. These are matched with strategically placed spares depots and a global parts distribution network. Together, these have allowed the 400XTi to achieve a global average AOG Return to Service time of less than nine hours.
