Effective the 1st of May, 2014 Atlas Air Service AG will be the new shareholder of the Augsburg based Beechcraft Vertrieb und Service GmbH. The purchase of all shares has been agreed to on the 7th of April 2014. Atlas Air Service and Beechcraft Augsburg will complement and mutually reinforce each other with their service stations and serviced aircraft: Atlas Air Service is authorized service partner for Cessna Citation and Cessna Caravan; Beechcraft Augsburg is authorized service partner for Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft. Together, both companies are running five service and maintenance facilities in the north, south and the middle of Germany and employ a workforce of 250 in Bremen, Ganderkesee, Paderborn, Stuttgart and Augsburg. Beechcraft Augsburg will be run as an independent subsidiary of Atlas Air Service. The strengths of both companies will be preserved: safety without compromises and highest quality by highly trained staff in the maintenance facilities; slender mid-sized business organization characterized by fast decision-making and low-cost administration; proximity to customers via the five German facilities and decentralized customer care.
