Qatar Executive made its presence felt at this year's Abu Dhabi Air Expo by displaying its state-of-the-art Bombardier Global 5000 private jet.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, national security advisor, and vice chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, inaugurated the three-day event, which took place at Al Bateen Executive Airport – Abu Dhabi's dedicated business aviation airport.
Qatar Airways chief executive officer His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, who also heads up the airline's private jet division Qatar Executive, welcomed H. E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, during the official Royal tour and demonstrated the elegant aircraft interiors and refined cabin features.
The Global 5000 jet combines luxury, comfort and unsurpassed performance, and features one of the widest and most spacious cabin interiors in the world of super-large business jets. The aircraft with a two-cabin configuration has a capacity for up to 13 passengers and allows for seven passengers to sleep comfortably.
During media interviews, Mr. Akbar Al Baker highlighted the strong commitment to grow Qatar Executive and to keep the private jet fleet young and modern through continued investment in new aircraft to ensure Qatar Executive offers one of the best products available within the entire business aviation industry.
The Qatar Executive team, headed by executive vice president David Edwards, used the show to strengthen relations with customers, brokers and suppliers, and to establish new business relationships through presenting the latest service and product innovations.
Since its inception in 2009, Qatar Executive has seen rapid growth of operations, and is currently flying a top-notch fleet of seven business jets, which can reach many destinations in the world non-stop.
