November 19, 2013
Nextant Aerospace, maker of the Nextant 400XTi, the world's only remanufactured business jet, today announced the appointment of Jet Aviation as a service center for the Middle Eastern market.
Signed during this year's Dubai Airshow, the contract appoints Jet Aviation Dubai to supply maintenance services throughout the region for Nextant's growing fleet of 400XTi light jets. This is the third such agreement between the two companies, building on the strong relationships already in place for Asia and Europe.
Nextant has scored strong sales success in recent months, notably a $202.5 million fleet replacement order from TMC in the US. Approximately 20% of the in-service BE 400A/XP fleet are now committed to undergo Nextant's remanufacturing process which produces an aircraft that matches or outperforms the competition in range, comfort, safety and flexibility for lower operating costs and just half the purchase price.
Jet Aviation, founded in Switzerland in 1967, is a global leader in business aviation services operating more than 20 facilities throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. The Dubai service center provides complete maintenance, repair and avionics support. In addition, it provides unscheduled maintenance services including defect rectification, structural repairs, engine replacement and AOG services.
“We are delighted to announce our third contract with Jet Aviation, extending what is already a highly successful partnership with a global leader in business aviation,” said Jay Heublein, Nextant's executive vice president, global sales and marketing. “We see the Middle Eastern market as an area of great potential and we recognize the importance of being able to offer our valuable clients in the region the best possible service. That's exactly what Jet Aviation will provide.”
“Nextant Aerospace is a pioneering company that is challenging preconceived notions in business aviation and we are delighted to be selected as an authorized service center in the Middle East," said Stefan Benz, vice president MRO and FBO EMEA Jet Aviation.
