Press Release
Issued by Signature Aviation.
October 21, 2013
Signature Flight Support, a BBA Aviation company, announced today that it has begun offering support services for the UK Air Passenger Duty (APD).
In 2013, the UK government extended the Air Passenger Duty to include fixed wing private and business aircraft powered by jet fuel and an MTOW of 5.7 tons or more. The regulations requires operators to register and account for APD within seven days of the flight. This applies to aircraft that take off from the United Kingdom carrying passengers. Signature has developed a dedicated service for the administrative representation of the UK APD to assist operators in conforming to the regulations.
Steve Gulvin, vice president of sales for Signature Flight Support noted, “We continue to look to enhance our customer offerings with the focus on seamless customer service and assisting them with regulatory requirements such as the UK APD. Our dedicated staff will ensure that there is no disruption to the flight departments who use this service, no matter what airport in the United Kingdom they utilize.”
Signature's UK APD service is available at all Signature locations within the United Kingdom and extends to other airports where Signature does not have a physical presence.

Signature Flight Support is exhibiting at this year's National Business Aviation Association Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, NV (Booth #N3505) where further information on this new service can be obtained.
