ABS Jets earns two NBAA Safety Awards

ABS Jets, one of the fastest growing European business jet operators has earned two NBAA Safety Awards by NBAA - the Commercial Business Flying Safety Award and the Aviation Support Services Safety Award.

The NBAA has granted ABS Jets, a.s. the 2013 “Commercial Business Flying Safety Award” for operating business aircraft over 9 years for a total of 21,177 consecutive hours without an accident involving damage to property or injury to persons.

Michal Pazourek, ABS' chief operations control center, earned the “Aviation Support Services Safety Award” for contributing to the safety of business aircraft operations for a total of 3 or more years without an accident involving damage to property or injury to persons.

“I'm honored that my work was recognized and awarded. Earning a safety award in such high risk industry means a lot,” commented Michal Pazourek. ”However, this success belongs to our entire team; we work together, and we perform and deliver as a team here at ABS.” Michal has worked for six years with ABS Jets now and is currently implementing a safety management system in the operations department. Before joining ABS, he worked in a number of operations dispatcher positions in the Czech Republic, Mexico, Turkey and France. He holds a Masters Degree in Air Traffic Control and Management from the Czech Technical University and is fluent in Czech, English, French and Spanish. 

The NBAA Safety Awards recognize member companies and staff members for exceptional achievement in maintaining safe flying operations. The Awards serve as a testimony to the high degree of professionalism inherent in business aircraft operations. In 2012, ABS Jets also received the “NBAA Commercial Business Flying Safety Award”, as well as an “NBAA Pilot Safety Award”.

Also in 2009 ABS Jets was granted the “NBAA Commercial Business Flying Safety Award” and in the same year the company received the “Best Business Jet Operator Award” from the prestigious Overseas Living magazine.
