Falcon 7X to be featured at CIBAS in Beijing

Dassault Falcon's 7X will once again be one of the featured aircraft at the Chinese International Business Aviation Show (CIBAS) in the heart of the most promising market for business jets. The event is the only one of its kind in Beijing, the Chinese capital.

“China remains one of the most promising markets and the future for our industry,” said Jean Rosanvallon, president and ceo of Dassault Falcon Jet. “The market has evolved considerably over the past several years. The Chinese authorities have taken a proactive view to developing infrastructure and opening airspace throughout the country and customers are becoming more educated on the practicality and importance of these business tools.”

The long range Falcon 7X has been enthusiastically received in China which is now the second largest market in the world for the tri-jet behind the United States. Dassault Falcon Jet has a backlog of about 20 of the aircraft in China. Both the Falcon 2000S and the Falcon 2000LXS have attracted a strong market in China.

Earlier this year, Dassault received FAA and EASA approval to install the most cutting-edge avionics, named EASy II, on the Falcon 7X. EASy II includes a host of new features designed to increase safety and situational awareness while taking advantage of next generation technologies.

Investment in China Continues over the Past 12 Months

In 2012, Dassault Falcon Jet established a 'wholly owned foreign entity' to represent the Falcon brand in the growing Chinese market. The subsidiary, known as 'Dassault Falcon Business Services (Beijing) Co. Ltd.', is based in Beijing. Mr. Jean Michel Jacob is the general manager of the subsidiary and Mr. Jean Rosanvallon is the chairman.

“Firmly establishing Dassault's presence in China today positions us to serve the needs of its growing business aviation sector with the highest level of support in the years to come,” said Rosanvallon. “Establishing this subsidiary is key to doing business in China and making sure Falcon customers and prospects have the best possible resources.”

As part of the subsidiary, Dassault Falcon Jet established a regional customer service headquarters in Beijing, China which started operations on June 1, 2013. Led by Kathy Liu, director of customer service for Asia, the office is being staffed by local specialists experienced in receiving and processing spare parts orders, warranty and FalconCare® claims. The office also oversees four field technical representatives that are based in greater China. Additionally, two type-rated Falcon pilots are already based in Beijing to provide jump-seat support to new and existing Falcon customers. A third pilot will join later in 2013.

Additionally Dassault Aircraft Services – Shanghai, a partnership between Dassault Falcon Jet and Shanghai Hawker Pacific, continues investing in more service offerings for Falcon customers. Recently, the facility received approval from the CAAC to perform 2A and 4A checks on the Falcon 7X as well as approval as a component repair station for all Falcon batteries.

Falcon Business Jets and the China Market

The Dassault Falcon product range includes four large-cabin models: the Falcon 7X and Falcon 900LX, the twin-jet Falcon 2000S and the new Falcon 2000LXS, both of which were certified by EASA and the FAA earlier this year which was introduced at the NBAA Convention in October, 2012. These models share a number of common features, including large and comfortable cabin interiors, efficient and economical performance and advanced technology derived from Dassault's military experience. Dassault introduced the Falcon 2000S into the super mid-size category as an entry-level option to the Falcon family offering outstanding performance, a luxurious, roomy interior and ultra-low operating costs for a price tag comparable to the smaller models featured by its competitors. Both the Falcon 2000S and Falcon 2000LXS received EASA and FAA approval earlier this year.

Falcon aircraft are more economical to operate and more environmentally friendly than any other large cabin aircraft. Their efficient design and advanced technology means less weight, 20-40% better fuel burn and lower emissions than other airplanes in their class.
