Olivier Andriès, Turbomeca chairman and chief executive officer, today opened the new Turbomeca technical support center in Tianjin, in the presence of Tianjin municipality and governmental officials. This new center is dedicated to Arrius, Arriel and Makila engines operated in the area.
“We want to serve our customers effectively by being close to their culture and operations in the field. This new industrial facility is a key asset to strengthen our proximity with our clients in China” said Olivier Andriès.
In this center, the qualified Turbomeca team will provide support of technical intervention to all operators in China. It will also perform maintenance for Arrius 2, Arriel 2 and Makila 1&2 engines, operated by governmental and police operators, which represent a third of the Turbomeca engine fleet in China.
Powering more than 200 helicopters in China, Turbomeca is the local leading helicopter engine supplier: one helicopter out of two is equipped with Turbomeca engines or licensed products.
