Jet Aviation Basel selected for A340-600 completions assignment

Jet Aviation Basel has recently signed a completions contract for a long-range, wide-body A340-600. Work on the green Airbus will commence in the first quarter of 2014.

Following its newly won completions contract for a BBJ1 last month, Jet Aviation Basel has been retained by an undisclosed client to design and complete the cabin interior of an Airbus A340-600. Configuration of the super-stretch Airbus includes dining and lounge areas, two vip bedroom suites with adjoining bathrooms, office and executive seating areas as well as high-density seating at the back of the aircraft.

"Our in-house design studio is an integral part of our completions center, which enables our engineering and certification teams to validate design assumptions at the outset of the design concept phase to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction," said Ruedi Kraft, vice president, market development & completions sales, Jet Aviation Basel.

"Throughout the completions process, our designers work together with our completions project planners, engineers and production craftsmen to ensure that the finished aircraft corresponds to the design as envisioned by the customer," said Neil Boyle, Jet Aviation Basel's vice president of the completions center. "We are thrilled to have been selected to transform this green wide-body A340-600 into an ergonomically sound and aesthetically beautiful cabin interior tailored to our client's wishes."

Every Jet Aviation interior uniquely integrates artistic craftsmanship with the highest degree of airframe technology. The company delivered two newly completed, highly customized Airbus 340s last year.
