Scandinavian Avionics has received the Garmin Platinum Award for Elite Performance 2012, which represents the highest level of sales performance, technical expertise and customer service within the Garmin International avionics distributor network.

In more than 20 years, Scandinavian Avionics, headquarters of The SA Group, has provided sales, maintenance, certification, installation and support of Garmin aviation products. A dual Garmin GTN-750 touchscreen display upgrade in a Citation 550 aircraft, which included both consultancy services, STC development, equipment supply and installation support, is one of the latest Garmin projects by Scandinavian Avionics.

With two Garmin GTN-750 6” touchscreen displays, Garmin GWX-70 weather radar, iridium satcom, marker beacon and more, the solution has added a wide range of capabilities and features to the aircraft and the cockpit:

- Multi-function Touch Display, including moving map, chart display, airways, approaches, weather, etc.

- P-RNAV compliance

- Graphical flight planning (Garmin ChartViewTM)

- Integrated audio control for remote audio panel functions

- Worldwide weather services, including graphical radar imagery, METARs, TAFs and more

- SATCOM communication – text messages, e-mails and voice calls via the GTN-750

With state-of-the-art MFD capabilities as well as audio control, satcom communication and weather information at the tip of the fingers, the upgrade has provided a long-term avionics solution for the customer and has enhanced situational awareness for the pilots significantly.
