DAO Aviation has been named the first in RUAG Aviation's planned expansion of the global network of Dornier 228 authorised service centres. The announcement was made during an official signing ceremony held at RUAG Aviation's chalet at the Paris Air Show.

The authorised service centres' international network will provide owners and operators of Dornier 228 and Dornier 228 New Generation aircraft and fleets with close support and increased access to reliable maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions, the supply of approved spare parts as well as overall operational support.

Its capabilities include all light and heavy inspections of the Dornier 228, mobile service support, Honeywell TPE331 heavy engine work, avionic upgrades as well as numerous engineering orders on Dornier 228 repair services.

“DAO Aviation's core values of reliability, efficiency, flexibility and know-how are shared by RUAG Aviation,” said Axel Sander, head of the customer care centre at RUAG Aviation. “This, along with DAO Aviation's comprehensive experience with the Dornier 228, ensures that our customers will benefit from high standards of support through our network of authorised service centres.”
