Nextant Aerospace announces Aviators as exclusive sales agent in India

Nextant Aerospace (“Nextant”), maker of the Nextant 400XTi, the world's only remanufactured business jet, has announced the appointment of Aviators as the exclusive sales agent for India. The company will place an initial order for three 400XTi dedicated air ambulances valued at $15.0 million. Aviators has vast history and deep experience with the Indian business aviation market and will play a key role in defining Nextant's sales, marketing and customer service strategy in the region.

Established in 1994, Aviators sells, markets and operates aircraft and helicopters throughout India. The company's latest proposal is India's first dedicated air ambulance service to facilitate quick assistance during emergency medical situations and for missions of critical transport. The goal is to provide assistance to the patient within the "golden hour" and help save lives with rapid response times and also provide secondary transportation. The addition of the three Nextant 400XTi air ambulances will complement their fleet of helicopter air ambulances, planned to start operations next year.

“We see strong growth potential in India and Aviators has the knowledge, experience and network to capture the opportunities,” said Jay Heublein, Nextant global vice president, sales and marketing. “It is an evolved aviation market which understands the functional nature of business aviation. With a rapidly growing economy and the third largest GDP (PPP) in the world, government and business leaders are looking for time-efficient and cost-effective travel to support their growth strategies. The 400XTi has the range to travel point to point, anywhere on the subcontinent, even in the summer heat.”

India's experience with business aviation spans five decades as a source of competitive advantage for entrepreneurs, corporations and political leaders. The country maintains the largest entry level fleet in Asia representing 17% of the $1.7 billion market and serving over 350 domestic airports. Nextant Aerospace analysis reveals that between 2007 and 2011, 33 entry level aircraft were delivered to the India, a 94% increase over the previous five years.

“The Nextant value proposition is perfect for India,” said Arun Sharma, managing director for Aviators. “The 400XTi has the comfort, range and technology the Indian market expects with a price half that of the competition. There are significant opportunities for both executive transport and special missions applications. We've been waiting for an aircraft with this combination of price and performance to launch India's first air ambulance jet service. This aircraft will, in a very real sense, save lives.”
