Air Charter Scotland's officially receives Wyvern Wingman status in Avinode booth at EBACE 2013

Air Charter Scotland (certificate # GB 1291) officially joined the ranks of the Wyvern Wingmen in the Avinode booth (1047) on day 2 of EBACE 2013. The company recently completed a successful Wyvern on-site audit to become a Wyvern Wingman for the first time.

“Air Charter Scotland is committed to ensuring our clients receive the safest experience possible,” said Derek Thomson, ground operations director for Air Charter Scotland. “We are proud to achieve Wyvern Wingman status.”

Operators that undergo an on-site safety audit and successfully meet the Wyvern auditors' rigorous safety standards are recommended for use by all Wyvern clients. Successful completion of an audit means that an Operator has met the Wyvern Standard, a globally recognized seal of excellence.

“Our company prides itself on delivering a service which not only meets but exceeds customer expectations and regulatory standards. Recently the company committed to carrying out flight crew training with FlightSafety,” Thomson explained. “Cost was not a factor as we wanted our flight crew training to be of the highest quality.”

This year has been an excellent so far for Air Charter Scotland, which recently gained FAA Part 129 approval for their operations within the United States. They have also recently added Bombardier series aircraft to their fleet, which, in conjunction with their existing fleet of Embraer Legacy 650, Gulfstream G200 and Cessna Citation, shows that even through tough economic times Air Charter Scotland has managed to grow leaving them very excited for the future.

The Wyvern Standard far surpasses the industry standard for air charter safety. Operators that pass the on-site audit also agree to post-auditing, which requires them to provide up to date information regarding aircraft and crew. Wyvern's database verifies this information daily, which ensures the validation of the audit throughout the term of the recommendation.

To further support their commitment to safety, Air Charter Scotland will benefit from access to Wyvern's Pilot and Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) Report. The report provides real time data feeds to pilot information to include insurance, medical, and flight time hours. As an operator, Air Charter Scotland will be able to run a PASS report on each flight they charter. When purchasing air charter, customers want to see an operator's commitment to safety. Acceptance into Wyvern's wingman program supports that commitment.
