On May 1st, Cranfield Airport welcomed its latest new tenant, Avalon Aero Ltd. Currently based at London Biggin Hill Airport, Avalon Aero are expanding their engineering operation by making a long term commitment at Cranfield Airport.
“With an already established relationship between both parties, and seeing the significant investment made by the airport to attract business aviation, our decision to choose Cranfield to further develop our business was an easy one” said Avalon's managing director John Glancey.
Avalon Aero is an EASA approved organisation and has been serving the aviation industry since the turn of the millennium. During this time they have built up a solid reputation for quality aircraft maintenance, primarily on specialist BAe 146 aircraft, such as the atmospheric research aircraft based at Cranfield and corporate/vip operations.
Cranfield airport director, Jason Ivey said “We are delighted to have Avalon Aero join our airport community, and this is yet another positive step forward as Cranfield develops its business aviation activities.”
