FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that Greg Arend has been promoted to director, commercial programs for FlightSafety's Simulation design, manufacture, and support facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“Greg is a valued member of our management team and most deserving of this promotion to director, commercial programs,” said John Van Maren, vice president, simulation. “He has the experience, technical skills, and abilities required to develop and deliver solutions that meet the specific requirements of airlines and other commercial organizations that require world class flight training equipment.”
As director, commercial programs, Greg will lead the team responsible for the on-time delivery of all new training devices, as well as the relocation and modification of existing equipment.
Prior to joining FlightSafety in 1995, Greg served in the United States Navy as a Weapons and Combat Systems Specialist, and subsequently began a career in flight simulation in 1986.
His responsibilities at FlightSafety's Simulation facility have included Engineering Test Department Supervisor, Program Manager, and, since 2008, Manager of Commercial Program Management. Greg previously worked in technical support at FlightSafety's LaGuardia and Teterboro Learning Centers.
Greg has pursued studies in Leadership and Management at Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University. He also attended Continuous Management Training through the FlightSafety Leadership Center in conjunction with Darden Graduate School of Business.
