Rockwell Collins today announced that its Venue™ cabin management and high-definition (HD) entertainment system was recently installed by Jet Aviation Basel and delivered on an Airbus A319 CJ.
The updated cabin features HD monitors and digital audio throughout the aircraft for watching Blu-Ray movies and other high-resolution content, such as real-time flight information from Rockwell Collins' Airshow® 3D Moving Map.
"Venue's scalability, ease of installation and flexibility for future technology have made it the ideal solution for business aircraft cabins, especially narrow bodies like ACJs," said Dave Austin, vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. "The system delivers reliable, high-quality digital content and intuitive environmental controls while its design optimizes the amount of hardware and wiring throughout the cabin to lower aircraft weight."
"Venue has proved to be an excellent IFE solution for a complex completions project," said Neil Boyle, vice president, Completions Center at Jet Aviation Basel. "We have been impressed with Rockwell Collins' project management and strict adherence to schedule. To complete projects to the highest customer expectations and quality standards worldwide, we rely on the support and professionalism of our supply partners, such as Rockwell Collins."
Venue, the leading cabin management and HD entertainment system for business aircraft with more than 170 installations, includes the features and functionality of the most advanced home entertainment systems and executive suites.
