Quest Aircraft Company names Samuel Hill chief executive officer

Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce that Samuel Hill has joined the company as its new chief executive officer. Hill has more than 40 years of aviation experience, most recently with Honda Aircraft Company from which he retired in early 2012.

Hill spent 10 years with Embraer Aircraft Corporation in several key leadership positions, including president and vice chairman. He was responsible for starting Embraer's Corporate Aircraft Division and launching the Legacy 600, the company's first executive jet.

"I am very pleased to welcome an individual of Sam's caliber to our management team," said Dave Vander Griend, chairman of Quest's board of directors. "Sam not only is extremely experienced as well as highly respected in the aviation industry, but he embodies the same values and purpose of mission that Quest represents." Vander Griend, who had been serving as the company's interim ceo since mid-2011, will continue in his role as chairman of the board.

Prior to Embraer, Hill worked with the Brooke Group where he was responsible for evaluating and developing strategies for aviation industry investments, including launching a helicopter subsidiary. He also served as general manager of Aircraft and Flight Services for Piedmont Aviation. Hill began his aviation career as chief pilot with Continental Grain Company, and also spent time as director of flight operations for AVX Corporation. He is an active pilot and holds a multi-engine ATP license and is type-rated in a number of aircraft.
