At this year's National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) show, held in Orlando, Florida, Bombardier Aerospace recognized the winners of the 2012 Authorized Service Facility (ASF) Excellence Awards. Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services won the award in the categories of best Overall and best European authorized facility.

The ASF Excellence Award is presented on an annual basis to Bombardier ASFs in five award categories: Overall Winner, North American, Europe, International & Line Maintenance The award recipients distinguished themselves successfully through a set of (13) thirteen performance metrics which include components of Customer influence, quality assurance and technical compliance.

During the award ceremony, Éric Martel, President Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft provided the awards to Christoph Meyerrose, Managing Director of Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services.

On behalf of the entire team of LBAS, Christoph Meyerrose accepted the awards with thanks: "We at LBAS are particularly proud that we could repeat the success of last year with receiving the Excellence Award for Europe again and even go one better by receiving the Excellence Award as Overall Winner. The fact that this occurred in the 15th year of our existence is a special honour and confirmation. Representative for this achievement are the exceptionally dedicated employees of LBAS who have worked very hard and passionately during the past 15 years toward the success of our company in offering the best MRO services worldwide for the purposes of customers and their Bombardier business jets. We are very grateful to our customers and Bombardier for these awards and are aware of the challenges to become even better in the future".
