Jim Stoker is the new president and managing executive of GE Aviation Czech. In this role, Stoker is responsible for the general oversight of the Czech business, including the design, manufacturing, marketing and support of turboprops for business and general aviation.
Stoker joined GE Aviation 25 years ago as a design engineer for both military and commercial engines. He held positions of increasing responsibilities, including customer program manager for China commercial aircraft programs. Most recently, Stoker served as the strategy leader for small commercial engine programs. He has a bachelor's degree in engineering mechanics from the University of Cincinnati, a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University and is a certified Black Belt.
Stoker replaced Paul Theofan who was appointed general manager of commercial, service and support for business and general aviation at GE Aviation. In this new role, Theofan will manage new business, service offerings and customer & product support activities.
Theofan spent more than 20 years at Unison Industries, which was acquired by GE in 2002. He began his Unison career as a Quality Engineer and held leadership roles in Sales and Manufacturing, including vice president of marketing and sales. Theofan has a bachelor's degree in engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
