At the Farnborough Airshow Diamond Aircraft and FTEJerez announced a firm order for eight DA42 and two DA42 FNPT2 simulators to expand their current fleet. The order, with a list-price value of 6 million Euros, reflects the strength of this Flight Training Organisation in difficult times for the pilot training industry.
The contract was awarded following tough competition that took place over the last year.
Powered by highly reliable and environmentally friendly Austro Engine Diesel engines, the new Diamond DA42-VI twin engine aircraft can be fuelled with all available Jet fuel types. The modern, composite four-seater aircraft is equipped with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit including GFC700 Automatic Flight Control System which are all air-conditioned to enhance the overall quality of training.
The first two Diamond DA 42-VI are expected to arrive at FTEJerez before year-end with further deliveries expected in 2013. Two state-of-the-art new generation Diamond Simulation FNPTII flight training devices will complement the acquisition of the new aircraft.
