Bond Offshore Helicopters Ltd, one of the UK's leading providers of energy support services, confirms that it has implemented, with immediate effect, Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) 2012-0087-E released by EASA today.
The EAD applies to certain batches of a main gearbox part in the EC225, and requires regular monitoring of flight data and reporting to manufacturer Eurocopter.
Bond Offshore Helicopters will be discussing flight scheduling arrangements with customers to avoid any potential disruption to services, and in accordance with the Directive will continue to monitor developments.
