Embraer is putting its Executive Jets support and services in the palm of a customer's hand by making technical manuals available on the iPad. Additionally, there is a new iPhone App which provides all the necessary customer support information and connects customers directly to the nearest service center.
"Embraer's customer support team constantly makes every effort to provide new and innovative solutions that meet the needs of its customers and keep pace with today's mobile computing technology," said Edson Carlos Mallaco, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services – Executive Jets. "These new apps offer more accessibility and introduce the paperless concept designed to reduce the workload in daily activities."
Furthermore, Phenom customers have the ability of storing PDF versions of the manual contents on their iPad, which can be quickly accessed offline. By using PDF reader file management APPs, the technical publication package can be easily downloaded from the FlyEmbraer Portal and transferred via iTunes to the iPad. Embraer recommends the GoodReader® App. This procedure keeps all folders, organization and navigation links between maintenance and operational documents as is.
On the iPhone platform, the Customer Support and Services Guide is the first application Embraer has published in the Apple Store. It will be followed later this year by an iPad app. In addition to customer support contacts, service center network and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services, the app is designed to provide information on training, Embraer service solutions and Embraer-related news as well as upcoming events.
Embraer executive jets technical manuals can also be accessed, through the Customer Portal, on all browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.
"Customers now have full and instant access to Embraer's entire global customer support and service network on their iPhones," added Mallaco. "By downloading our free Customer Support and Services Guide app, they have a simple and intuitive method to reach all the necessary resources to care for their aircraft or get it back in the air sooner."
