AP – Aeronautical Professionals Malta holds first Bombardier Learjet 60 B1 mechanic type rating course

From 23rd of April to 3rd of May, AP – Aeronautical Professionals Malta Ltd. (AP- Malta), who were awarded their EASA Part 147 training approval in August 2011, held their first Bombardier Learjet 60 B1 Level 3 type rating course.

The course provided its participants a thorough understanding of the Learjet 60 and all its systems fulfilling one of the requirements to become an approved Learjet 60 certifying staff. The course was held at the AP Malta training facility located airside at Malta International Airport (MIA).

Mario Cassar, Training Manager at AP Malta had to add, "The instructors bring a large amount of practical experience to the course. In order to cover all aspects of the aircraft and to provide different perspectives and personal experience's, five instructors were flown into Malta. All five of which are EASA approved class "C" certifying staff. MRO - M.C.M. Maintenance Centre Malta's hangar is located next to our training facility and granted us access to the aircraft model which was parked inside their hangar, allowing the instructors access to the aircraft and permitted them to use it as a training instrument. These two elements make for an excellent learning experience."

AP Malta intends to add additional aircraft types to their approval and continue to establish themselves as a reputable school. In addition to training, AP Malta provides Airworthiness Management services under an EASA Part M approval and consultancy services for the start up of aircraft operators.
