Hubbard Aviation Technologies launches European airport tour

Hubbard Aviation Technologies, LLC, has announced that it will be organizing a European Airport Tour in the run up to EBACE 2012. The aim is to fly aviation journalists and decision makers to four leading European airports on a Gulfstream III, outfitted with Hubbard Aviation Technologies' QS3 Noise Suppression System.

"The concept of noise and noise suppression systems can be confusing and with this tour I hope to expand and clarify the situation," said Bernard Weiss, President and COO, Hubbard Aviation Technologies. "Our product is approved by the FAA to meet Stage 3 standards and by EASA to meet Chapter 3 standards. I want to show that the QS3 Noise Suppression System meets Chapter 3 standards based on the way pilots fly the airplane in daily use, not just as performed to satisfy a test procedure."

The QS3 brings a Gulfstream II, IIB or III to Stage 3 and Chapter 3 compliance with no operational restrictions. Operators can take off at Max Gross Weight, with normal flap settings and no reduction of EPR.

The system consists of three major components – an alternating-lobe exhaust nozzle, a fuselage-mounted acoustically-lined ejector, and a cascade-style thrust reverser – that work together to deliver maximum noise absorption while maintaining superior engine performance. The thrust reversers require no scheduled maintenance and provide equivalent performance to OEM reversers, at 80% of the reverse thrust settings.

During the European Airport Tour, Hubbard Aviation Technologies will seek to highlight the advantages of GII and GIII aircraft. "These airplanes perform the missions of today at a very competitive rate," said Weiss. "They achieve the same passenger comfort, aircraft speed, altitude and reliability as much more expensive, newer aircraft. Indeed from inside the cabin they are almost indistinguishable from GIVs, GVs or G450s."

Bernard Weiss, President and COO, Hubbard Aviation Technologies will be presenting at the Business Airport World Conference 2012 on Wednesday, February 22 at 10:25 am in Cannes, France. The destinations of the European Airport Tour will be announced in the days following the event.
