PRISM, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARGUS International, Inc. (NBAA Booth #C7130), now has 250 subscribed customers for its PRISM SMS program. PRISM is the industry's leading Safety Management System (SMS) solutions provider and its innovative program continues to evolve as the industry changes. The latest upgrades include enhanced functionality in several aspects of the program, including a new version of HazRep Tracker for the web-based Hazard Reporting Database and enhanced features for its Flight Risk Analysis Tool (FRAT).
"Hazards are something each of us encounters every day simply due to the nature of operating in the aviation environment," said PRISM Director of Safety Systems, Steve Witowski. "PRISM has created a system designed to diminish the risks an organization and its' employees face while performing their jobs. In the second quarter of 2011 alone, PRISM collected 171 hazard reports, of which 4% were considered catastrophic hazards. Our vision is to elevate every subscriber's awareness of common industry hazards, thereby mitigating the associated risks."
The new HazRep Tracker version 2.0 (V2) gives the user the capability to benchmark their own safety performance and uncover hazard trends. HazRep Tracker V2 adds seven new templates that can be customized to match an aviation operation's individual reporting needs. In addition, the program has new visual graphs and charts that can be generated to more clearly measure hazard and incident data.
The updated FRAT v2 tool is a key feature of their Aviation Risk Management Online Resource (ARMOR). ARMOR is the ultimate web-based tool that provides operators with a system that all employees can gain required access to at any time, while allowing the safety officer the ability to manage all elements of their SMS with a laptop and internet connection from anywhere in the world.
"We are excited to add new features to the PRISM service and know our customers will find the additional benefits very valuable," said PRISM Executive Vice President, Bill Yantiss. "It is our responsibility to provide our subscribers with a program that is constantly evolving along with our industry. I am also proud that we now have 250 subscribers who understand the importance of managing safety in their operation,"
