Press Release
Issued by Raisbeck Engineering.
July 18, 2011
In the first six months of 2011, Raisbeck Engineering delivered 245 performance systems for installation on 123 King Airs of all models, averaging more than 20 King Airs per month. Shipments of Raisbeck's patented Ram Air Recovery System (RARS) were especially heavy due to the system's inclusion on the new Hawker/Beechcraft (HBC) King Air 250 production line. RARS systems for the first 32 new production 250s are in process and being shipped monthly. RARS is a major contributor to the 250's cruise performance.
Reflecting on the increased activity in purchasing, shipping and receiving, Tyler Chase, Vice-President of Operations for Raisbeck, said "We've been preparing for this heavy activity for months, knowing the market for retrofit performance improvement systems in our price range is the first area in business aircraft to show an upswing when it is time to improve what you already own. We had good practice in 1997-1998, when the U.S. Army equipped 126 of its C-12 fleet with Raisbeck RARS and Dual Aft Body Strakes (DABS)."
First-half domestic sales were excellent also, at 68% of total sales. International sales remained strong, but dropped slightly in percentage due to increased activity in the United States. Raisbeck Engineering recorded its best June in its 30-year history. Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) weighed in favorably also, measuring up to many of Raisbeck's independent dealer/installation centers around the globe.
