PRISM releases enhanced flight risk analysis tool

PRISM, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARGUS International, has enhanced its well-known Flight Risk Analysis Tool (FRAT). The new PRISM FRAT v2 tool is a key feature of their Aviation Risk Management Online Resource (ARMOR). ARMOR is the ultimate web-based tool that provides operators with a system that all employees can gain required access to at any time, while allowing the safety officer the ability to manage all elements of their Safety Management System (SMS) with a laptop and internet connection from anywhere in the world.

"PRISM SMS has continued to gain wide acceptance among operators as an efficient, effective program to implement and manage their SMS," said Bill Yantiss, PRISM Executive Vice President. "We are pleased to release an enhanced version of one of the popular components used by operators."

PRISM subscribers have used the PRISM FRAT tool to manage risk on nearly 10,000 flights. In addition, industry leader Honeywell has announced the PRISM FRAT tool will be directly accessible from their Global Data Center (GDC) flight-planning module website. PRISM plans to integrate their FRAT offering with other flight planning and flight scheduling programs.

Some of the new features incorporated into the PRISM FRAT v2 include:

• Safety critical airport comments are available prior to flight

• Enhanced customization allows each operator to design a FRAT form containing only their specific risk categories and factors

• Multiple warning thresholds inside each FRAT form spotlight areas of increased concern

• Search features that dissect and analyze risk parameters

• Powerful data management tools create a clear picture of risk segments

• Email communication that streamlines risk notification
